October's Community Highlight

October's Community Highlight: SERVE Celebration Recipients
This year's SERVE Celebration brought our community together to do what we love most: recognize the Neighbors and partners who show up, again and again, believing in connection, collaboration, and investing in the place we all call home.
Every award below honors a different way a Neighbor shares what they already have — their time, their business, their sweat, their Saturday mornings — with the people around them. That's the heart of asset-based community development: we don't go looking for what's missing in a Neighbor or a neighborhood. We look for what's already there, and we celebrate it loudly.

Meet Our 2026 Award Winners

Top Notch Award (Belt): Ace Hardware
Biggest Donor — Business & Individual
The Top Notch Award honors a community partner whose leadership and generosity have played a pivotal role in empowering SERVE Village to fulfill its mission of asset-based community development. This award recognizes those who help connect Neighbors through outreach, strengthen community initiatives, and preserve the local assets that make our community thrive.

Mr. Roger's Award: Brad Howell
Embodies SERVE Values
Named for Fred Rogers and his enduring belief that kindness is a powerful force, this award honors individuals or families who lead with compassion, meet people where they are, and treat every Neighbor with dignity and care. Their impact may not always be loud, but it is lasting.

Sweat Equity Award: Luna Girls (Katy and Nely)
Best Volunteer — Hours, Effort, Availability
The Sweat Equity Award honors individuals or groups who exemplify hard work, dedication, and hands-on commitment to community betterment — those who invest their time, energy, and physical labor to create tangible, lasting impact.
Best Volunteer Group: NHS Football

The Best Volunteer Group Award recognizes a team that embodies unwavering commitment, compassion, and selflessness. It honors outstanding teamwork, leadership, and dedication to SERVE projects — those who show up with heart, energy, and care, leaving a lasting mark on our community.

Come Together Award: Noblesville Youth Baseball League
This award is presented to those whose efforts help build bridges — recognizing that community doesn't grow only through meetings and plans, but through shared moments that make people feel seen and welcomed. It celebrates the spirit of Come Together Week: neighbors meeting neighbors and leaving feeling like they belong.

FUN Fest Booth Award: Virsa Punjab Da
This award goes to a booth that captured the joyful, creative spirit of FUN Fest — sharing culture, food, tradition, and story in a way that turned an ordinary afternoon into a memorable connection point for the community.

Board Member of the Year: Tim Baker
New award category for 2026
Board service is one of the most personal forms of leadership there is — a choice to give your time, talent, and treasure to something bigger than yourself, often without applause. This award honors someone who has shown up behind the scenes, asked the hard questions, and helped steady the ship.
A Special Nod: 5-Year Recognition
This year we also want to recognize Neighbors who've stood beside SERVE Village for five years running: Torrie, Jack, Ryan, and Michelle. Five years of consistency is its own kind of gift — thank you for showing up, year after year.

Thank you to all of our Neighbors and partners for an incredible year. Your Collaboration helped create a Collective Impact, as your Compassion created an atmosphere for Connection that we want to continue to Celebrate together.
